We are looking for a personal assistant to help an 8-year-old boy get out of the house during the school holidays.
He has been diagnosed with autism, an intellectual disability, and sensory processing disorders.
We are looking for someone for accompaniment to activities and social activity assistance.
He loves being outside, going on walks, parks, music, zoos, and farms.
He does require a wheelchair to keep him safe, as he has no danger awareness.
Kindness, reliability, and a positive, flexible approach are key qualities for this role. A good sense of humour and a caring attitude will help you connect and make a real difference while supporting a fun and unique young child.
By law, all personal assistants in caring roles are now required to be members of the PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) scheme to help ensure a safe and supportive environment. If you’re not yet a member, support is available to guide you through the application process.
